At Qué Rico we aim to contribute to the nutritional wellbeing of society as a whole, with high-quality, nutritious and affordable chicken. To do that we control the entire production process.
Our history
Six decades of growing without rushing
Que Rico was founded in 1961, when Luis Juan Macchi opened his first farm in General Rodríguez with just 1,500 hybrid chickens and a clear vision: to produce quality chicken on an industrial scale, following the standards set in Europe and the United States.
More than six decades later, we are still a third-generation family business with a fully integrated production process: from breeder farms to our processing plant, and from distribution with our own fleet to our customers' tables. We control every stage to guarantee the quality and traceability of every product.
Over the years, our growth has gone beyond production. It also includes the people who work alongside us, the communities where we operate, and the relationships we have built with our customers and partners. That is an essential part of who we are.
Eight stages, one chain
Breeder farms
Our own breeder flock: this is where the hatching egg that starts every cycle comes from.
Hatchery
Incubation under controlled temperature and humidity in our own hatcheries.
Grow-out farms
Company-owned houses where birds grow with our feed and veterinary supervision.
Feed mill
Balanced feed produced in house since 1998.
Poultry laboratory
Sanitary and quality controls throughout the cycle.
Processing and packing plant
Around 12,000 birds per hour, packed into the presentations of each product line.
Logistics
Our own cold chain for chilled and frozen product.
Distribution
Supply to the domestic market and dispatch for export.
